Top 5 Best SmartPhones Under 15000

Many of us would have planned to purchase a smartphone before the lockdown started but always the unexpected happens and it amy have stopped us from getting it. But I think whatever happened was for good becuase there are new smartphones launched with amazing features. But the sad part here is there is hike in GST thus the price smartphones have also increased a bit. I am going to list out 5 best smartphones under 15000 which you can buy after lockdown and these smartphones are also based upon the recent price hike in smartphones due to the GST.

The first device in our list is the Realme 6. Realme 6 is the smartphone which I think makes the best device under this price segment. Realme 6 comes with a 6.5” IPS LCD panel, FHD+ Resolution and offers a screen refresh rate of 90Hz which is really appreciable for a budget phone like this. The chipset which supports this 90Hz display is the powerful Mediatek Helio G90T which is a gaming chip earlier seen on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Lets come to the internals of the device, out of the box the device comes in Realme UI built on Android 10. The device has a quad camera setup where the primary sensor being the Samsung GWI 64MP and the selfie camera is placed in a punch hole at the left corner with a 16MP sensor  which gives good pictures with good dynamic range and details. There are totally 3 storage variants starting from 4GB/64GB and upto 8GB/256GB. The battery capacity is 4300mAh which comes with a 30W flash charge in the box and a Type-C cable. The starting price of the realme 6 Rs.13999 which is exclusively available in flipkart. To shop the Realme 6 click here.

The next is the direct rival for the realme which is the Redmi note 9 pro which comes with a 6.67” FHD+ punch hole display and IPS LCD panel and thing to be noted here is it has a refresh rate of only 60Hz which makes it to come down to the 2nd position. The device is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset which also a gaming chip and this is the first chip with NavIC support. Out of the box the device comes with MIUI 11 built upon android 10. Similar to the Realme 6 it has a quad camera setup with the 48MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor and in the punchhole there is 16MP front facing camera. The battery capacity is 5020mAh and a 18W fast charger along with usb Type C cable comes with the box. There are totally 2 variants 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The phone also has a glass sandwich design with corning gorilla glass 5 both in the front and back. The starting price is Rs.12999 and its available in the Mi store, Amazon and Flipkart. Next if you prefer a smartphone best in segment but also from a non Chinese brand then we have the Samsung galaxy m21. It has a 6.4” FHD+ screen with a water drop notch and it’s a Super Amoled display so the colours are vibrant and the blacks are punchy. The build quality is solid but feels very plasticky and the back design is not very inviting. Out of the box the phone comes in android 10 with OneUI 2.0 As far as the internals are considered it has an Exynos 9611 chip with a clock speed of 2.3GHz. It’s a good chip for day to day tasks and it can run games like pubg in medium graphics. It has a rectangular camera setup with 3 camera with the primary sensor of 48MP and the selfie camera is 20MP. Both cameras perform well in good lighting conditions. It has a big battery of 6000mAh and the thing to be noted here is even though the battery capacity is so high the weight of the device is just 188gms. There is also 15W fast charger and Type C cable provided in the box. It has 2 variants 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The very important aspect to be noted here is this phone has the lowest ever possible SAR rating which is an additional advantage. The starting price is Rs.12699 and is available on amazon. At the 4th position we have the Realme XT with a 6.4” FHD+ Super Amoled Display so the display has negatives to comment upon and its very lively and colorful. The build is a glass sandwich design with corning gorilla glass 5 in the front and back. It comes in android 9 and by now it would have got android 10 with realme UI. It has 3 variants 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB which is coupled with a Snapdragon 712 chip with great performance daily tasks and even for games. When we look at the cameras it has a primary camera of 64MP from the Samsung ISOCELL GWI sensor and the selfie camera is 16MP. It has a good battery pack of 4000mAh accompanied with a 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charger and a Type C cable. The starting price of the phone is Rs.14999 and is available in Amazon and flipkart. When your looking for clean android smartphone with no bloatwares or custom skin then you can go for the Nokia 7.2 from the HMD Global which is part of the android one programe which means 2 major Android updates are guaranteed and gives a clean stock android experience like the pixel phones. It comes with a 6.3” FHD+ IPS LCD panel. It has a glass sandwich design with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone comes with android 9 with stock android and nokia is very punctual in giving software updates which made me choose this phone over the Mi A3 where Mi is compromising very much on the updates. Nokia 7.2 is powered by a SnapDragon 660 SoC even if its old chipset it’s a well performing chip. It has round camera module and a triple camera setup where the primary sensor is from Zeiss of 48MP and the selfie camera is 20MP. It has a decent battery backup of 3500mAh and a negative here is it does not support fast charging so in the box only a 10W charger and Type C cable is given. There are 2 RAM versions of 4GB and 6GB and both are with a storage of 64GB. The starting price is Rs. 14999. To buy this smartphone click here.

A special mention for those who like Vivo and the FunTouch OS is the Vivo S1 which has a average chipset from Mediatek the Helio P65 and decent cameras and good battery life. It has a good big display of 6.38" FHD+ Resolution and Super Amoled display so as far as media consumption its a good bet. The negative aspects are, it only has a micro-USB port and average build made of plastic. The best-buy link is given here.
